I like to keep my eyes out and offer suggestions for you on different applications and sites that may be helpful to you. While I do put these links and their services through some testing, I can't guarantee their stability or function as versions change. If you should have any questions or find that any of the links no longer work, please let me know!

Here is a link to an article by the eZine Faculty Focus. This article examines 7 factors that need to be considered when developing instructional spaces.

Online file storage and Computer Backup

ADrive: At first glance, ADrive seems to be the bargain of the month. And in many ways it is. You get 50GB of online storage for free! However, there are, not suprisingly, some limitations. For example, you can't upload files larger the 2GB, and the interface is not the most attractive, but does include Drag and Drop from your desktop to the browser window. Most importantly, this is not an active back-up system. You have to upload everything that you want to back up, which if you are transferring a lot of files, does take time. But then again, did I mention 50GB for free?

Two other online storage service Providers are Carbonite and Mozy. These both differ from ADrive in that they are pay services (each offers unlimited storage for about $55/year), but also in that they both work in the background to backup your files while you are working.
