Our Teaching Philosophy
At St. Mary's
we believe that learning involves frequent exchanges of ideas between students
and faculty. This goal can be achieved only through effective communication.
Students should speak with Michael as much as possible about their interests
in politics, the courses they are taking, and their ideas about contemporary
politics. You can do this during his regular office hours, in lunch meetings
throughout the week, during a friendly afternoon coffee at the new student
center or through e-mail messages at night or the weekends. Whatever way
is most comfortable or convenient, always feel free to share your thoughts
