Assignments and Due Dates

Mid term Portfolio DUE Oct 11 contains the following:

Individual assignment Due Dates
W Sept 18	Digital proportion studies: no less than 4 printed images with proportional observations overlaying portrait photos
M Sept 11 W Sept 20 M Oct 2	Observation drawings of heads : five total, each on 14 x17 paper including 2 skulls 2 muscle 1 self observed
W Oct 11	A collection of no less than 4 images of figure sculptures by other artists (scanned or Xeroxed from books, catalogs only, no internet) Label each image with information including artist name, title of sculpture, date, and detailed comments about what makes it “good”.
Sept W 27	Anatomy head : a collection of photos of your anatomy head at different stages including at least one final skull and one final muscle.

Final Portfolio DUE exam period contains the following:

W Oct 25	Completed portrait sculpture (including photographic prints of at least two views for portfolio)
Final exam	Quick full figure sculpture (photo documentation of your best one)
Final exam	Seated figure sculpture (including photographic prints of at least two views for portfolio)
Final exam	Observation drawings of full figures: total of 4, each on 14 x 17 paper including two full figure, 2 analytical studies
M Nov 13 (examples) Final Exam (quick figure w/ stylization applied)	A collection of stylization examples from sculptures by other artists including no less than 4 scanned or Xeroxed from books only with complete artwork information and comments on your response to the way the work is stylized. The quick sketch sculpture you experimented with (photo document)
Final exam	Brief summary of four art events
