Land Art Overview
Andy GoldsworthyÕs film, Rivers and Tides (watch at least a half hour)

Quickfire Challenge:

A simple artwork done in a short time frame that addresses the project issue (site/place becomes the focal point of the work's meaning). Due TH 6

 

Project Proposals: (powerpoint)

Present a proposal that verbally and visually describes your plans for this project including: 1 page summary with a brief description and explanation of how it engages project issue and no less than 2 images that might include drawings/digital collages, visual source examples, photos of models, video or sound clips etc. Due TH 6

 

Research:

Research the work of two artists (selected from list below). Post research writing and images to your online eportfolio by class time. DUE T 4 and T 11

 

Analysis:

Define and explain the concept of place-oriented art. Post writing to your eportfolio by class time. DUE T 25

 

Studio Project and Intention Statement:

Create a work where place/site becomes the focal point of the work's meaning. DUE TH 3
