effrey Silberschlag has appeared as
trumpet soloist throughout Europe,
the United States, and Israel. His
performances have been described as
"impressive" by American Record
Guide, "extraordinary" by Italy's
L'Arena, and "outstanding" by Fanfare
magazine. He was a co-winner of the
1991 Norton T. Dodge Prize for Creative
and Scholarly Achievement.

In January of 1996 Mr. Silberschlag
served as a guest lecturer at the
Royal Academy of Music in London.
This fall he returned to Prague to
perform with the Czech Philharmonic,
Czech Nonet, and record with the Czech
Radio Orchestra.

Mr. Silberschlag is an Associate
Professor of Music - Director of
Instrumental Activities at St. Mary's
College of Maryland, where he has
been on the faculty since 1988.
Additionally, he is the music director
of the Chesapeake Chamber Orchestra
and Co-director of the Chesapeake
Chamber Orchestra Festival and School.
Mr. Silberschlag is a Clinician for
the Selmer/Bach Co.
