The mathematics faculty recommends that students who intend to major in
mathematics take MATH191: Calculus Seminar I MATH192: Calculus Seminar II
concurrently with their calculus courses. MATH191/192: An investigation
of the theoretical foundation of calculus. Completeness of the real number
system, precise definitions of limits and continuity of functions and of
convergence and summability of sequences, proofs of some of the basic theorems
of calculus. 1 credit course MATH 191 is offered (F03) on Tuesdays 2-2:50
by Professor Ivan Sterling in SH164. To add this course attend the 1st
