Jeremy Perrin is a finalist for the American Physics Society’s LeRoy Apker Award given each year to two students (one from a non-PhD granting institution and one from a PhD granting institutions). Up to five finalists are selected in each category and invited for an interview and to give a formal talk on their research. Past Apker winners come from schools such as Williams College, Haverford College, Harvey Mudd College, and Swathmore College.
It is a tremendous honor for Jeremy’s hard work and persistence to be recognized at such a prestigious level! In addition to celebrating Jeremy’s achievement with a honorarium and a certificate, the St. Mary’s College of Maryland Physics Department will also be honored with a prize and a certificate. Look for pictures after we receive our certificates in the future sometime!
