Study Groups: One of the great things about St. Mary's is that students are willing to work together in a productive way to help everyone succeed in class. Unless otherwise stated, you are encouraged to discuss assignments with others. However, work that you submit or present must be your own final product. In particular, this means that you may not copy solutions from each other or from common work space, even if you contributed to the solution. To get the most out of each assignment and the time you spend, you should begin working each problem on your own to at least get an understanding of the issues before you consult your classmates, making collaboration much more effective.
You should think of written assignments as practice for the midterm.
